Say what you want, but you can't deny the overwhelming family loyalty present in the Mexican national team. First came the outrage from the dos Santos family. It was upset over manager Javie Aguirre excluding 20-year-old Jonathan from the final World Cup squad. Jonathan is the younger brother of attacking midfield staple Giovani, who made the team. Father Zizinho threatened to have Jonathan never play for Mexico again, and Giovani hinted that he might leave the squad in South Africa in protest.

Rio worry for England
Fabio Capello has revealed that Rio Ferdinand has suffered a knee injury in training and the defender is now having a scan at a local hospital.
The England players were put through their paces for the first time at their Rustenburg training base in South Africa on Friday, with the World Cup now fast approaching.
The Three Lions will get their quest for global glory up and running against United States on 12th June and are desperate to head into the tournament with their strongest side available.
That includes national skipper Ferdinand, with the Manchester United centre-half set to marshal the heart of their back four.
However, his involvement is now in doubt after he picked up an untimely injury in training.
Capello claims the problem is not too serious but admits he faces an anxious wait on the results of a scan before the picture becomes any clearer.
"The bad news is that in the last moments of the training session Rio suffered a problem with his knee," said the England boss.
"He has gone to hospital for a scan. We will have to see how things are. He did it during a tackle.
"It was a normal tackle, but there was a slight problem. It was his left knee. We have to wait for the scan."

Italy Star Andrea Pirlo At Risk Of Missing World Cup 2010
The playmaker will definitely not feature in the friendly against Switzerland...
Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has suffered an injury and risks missing the 2010 World Cup, according to Tuttosport.
The AC Milan star left the Italy training camp in Sestriere after picking up a knock to his calf and will not be available for tomorrow's friendly against Switzerland, The Azzurri's last official preparation match before their World Cup campaign kicks off on June 14 against Paraguay.
The extent of the damage to the 31-year-old is not yet known, but there are fears he could miss the tournament in South Africa. He will go to Milan in order to have further tests done.
Despite an underpar year with the Rossoneri, Pirlo is arguably the most important player in coach Marcello Lippi's side in terms of offence and their main source of creativity. He was one of the best players in Italy's triumphant run at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Didier Drogba 'ruled out of World Cup' with fractured elbow
Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba could miss the World Cup with a suspected fractured elbow after he was forced off in a friendly against Japan today, according to L'Equipe. Defender Patrice Evra will captain France at the World Cup as Thierry Henry has accepted his place on the bench for the duration of the tournament.
Evra wore the France armband for the first time against Costa Rica in the 2-1 friendly win, while Henry has found himself on the sidelines in recent matches, despite leading his side through qualifying - including the controversial play-off win over Republic of Ireland.
Nicolas Anelka has been preferred in Henry's position, and the Barcelona striker accepted coach Raymond Domenech's decision to keep him out of the side earlier in the week, saying: "Yes, the coach came to see me in Barcelona. He said to me I wasn't going to start the games in South Africa and I accepted."
In Henry's absence, Evra has been handed the armband and the defender announced: "I'm really proud to be the captain. With talent you win games, but you can only win a tournament with a great team".
A poll on the L'Equipe website revealed that 70% of the French public believe Evra to be the right choice to lead the country in South Africa, while he also appears to have the backing of his team-mates. Jeremy Toulalan told the paper: "He's in the right mood and has the will to gather everyone."

Waka Waka Shirts now available...

Designed to represent the spirit, vitality and energy of the host continent of the FIFA World Cup, profits from the “Waka Waka” t-shirt campaign will benefit early childhood education initiatives in South Africa.
"The true spirit of this World Cup means making a lasting contribution,” said Shakira. “We can add to its legacy by using this historic moment as a platform to advocate for quality education for South Africa’s children, and an end to poverty and inequality wherever it exists.”
A total of four t-shirts, two for women and two for men, with the slogans “Waka Waka” and “This Time for Africa” have been designed for the occasion and will be sold in MANGO stores worldwide beginning the 10th of June. The t-shirts will be priced at 18€ and 19€, respectively. Click here to find MANGO stores near you.
Proceeds from the t-shirt sales will support the Barefoot Foundation, founded by Shakira, to expand early childhood education initiatives in South Africa, where 1 in 10 children suffers from severe malnutrition, and where HIV/AIDS accounts for 35 percent of deaths in children under five. The money will go directly from Barefoot Foundation to those South African schools that are selected to receive funding from this campaign.

I saw that Cristiano Ronaldo's was posted but I thought, surely you'd like to see the others too. I'm only posting the first one from each so it isn't too much at once but if you got to the person who uploaded them you can find them all there.
Featuring:
Nani (Manchester United)
Miguel Veloso (Sporting)
Bruno Alves (Porto)
Raul Meireles (Porto)
Eduardo (Braga) ♥
Pepe (Real Madrid)
Deco (Chelsea)
Hugo Almeida (Werder Bremen)
If you saw the Cristiano one you'll know the concept. Seeing the players houses, wives, and kids which they are the cutest thing EVER. Unless you are Veloso and in which you have like 10 cats lmfao. I hope you enjoy these.

Barry trains with England
City midfielder joins in with team-mates in South Africa
Midfielder Gareth Barry has participated in training with the England squad as they step up their World Cup preparations. The Three Lions arrived at their Rustenburg base on Thursday and were put through their paces for the first time on Friday morning.
With just over a week to go before their opening game against the United States on 12th June, Fabio Capello is now in the process of selecting his starting XI.
There are a number of names that are guaranteed to make the cut, but some positions remain up for grabs.
Among those hoping to force their way into the fold is Manchester City ace Barry, who will have his eye on a midfield anchor role.
He was forced to sit out the pre-tournament friendlies against Mexico and Japan after damaging his ankle while on domestic duty towards the end of the season.
His inclusion in the 23-man squad was cast into doubt after he suffered the setback, but medical staff convinced Capello that he would be ready.
It is still likely that he will be rested for the clash with USA, as he continues to step up his fitness, but his return to the training ground will come as a welcome boost to all concerned.
Barry's work during the first session to be staged in South Africa was hardly strenuous, as the England coaches adopt a cautious approach, but he will be looking to step up his regime over the coming days.
Should he come into contention for the opening game against the States, Capello would be spared an unwelcome selection headache.
History suggests that Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are not at their best when paired together in the middle of the park, but the presence of Barry alongside them would free them up to play their normal game and influence proceedings in the final third.
