Liverpool FC's Albert Riera destroys Spartak Moscow move

Albert Riera has killed his World Cup dream by pricing himself out of a move to Spartak Moscow, it has been revealed by the Russian club's manager.

The Spain international, 27, has become an outcast at Liverpool after launching a broadside in a radio interview, describing the club as a 'sinking ship' and castigating manager Rafael Benitez for what he believes is poor man management by his compatriot.

After publicly accusing Benitez of destroying his hopes of representing his country in South Africa, it appears that the former Espanyol winger has done exactly the same thing by demanding a lucrative salary which was double his current earnings at Anfield.

ahaha nice one...oh you're actually serious. )

Real Madrid midfielder and vice-captain Jose Maria Gutierrez, better known as 'Guti', said Thursday he wanted to leave the Spanish giants for a move to England, Italy or the Middle East.

"My future is unsure. It will surely be my last Clasico (Saturday against Barcelona). As it stands there is no possibility of staying. I have a year left (contract) but we hope to reach an agreement," Guti told Onda Madrid radio.

"I'm sure they understand, my only option is to leave," said Guti, who sees himself as playing for two more years, and would consider a move next season to "England, Italy or the Arab countries".

Guti, 33, has been out-of-favour at Real for several seasons but remains an influential figure in the team.

He started his career at Real in December 1995, winning five La Liga, three Champions League and two Intercontinental Cup titles, as well as 13 caps with the Spanish national side.

Theo Walcott blasted by Sky Sports face of football who didnt know his microphone was still on

Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys could be in hot water after he was overheard giving a foulmouthed critique of Arsenal star Theo Walcott - when he thought his microphone was off.

Keys' outburst came during Tuesday night's Champions' League quart-final against Barcelona. To his relief, only fans listening to Sky Sports online streaming of the 4-1 defeat heard the gaffes.

At one point when Walcott went down under a challenge, Keys was heard saying: 'Get up, you stupid little boy'.

As commentators Martin Tyler and Andy Gray described the game, Keys could be heard saying: 'You've been s***e, son, in your daft pink boots - absolute rubbish.'

To make matters worse, he was first be heard asking his studio guests who was responsible for breaking wind.

Sitting alongside twice European Cup winner Ruud Gullit, and Graeme Souness, Keys said: 'Who's farted? It's not me.'

Keys has previous, too. In 2007 during a Scotland match in the Faroe Islands, the commentator was heard on air to say: 'Silly ground, stupid game, f*** off.'

On Wednesday a Sky spokesman said: 'There were no technical issues with the audio on the night.'
