there are several scenarios:
-germany beats england, press moans for the next few months, hodgson says it doesn't matter and england do somewhat decent in france
-england beats germany, press is happy but cautious or elated with joy: germany wins and england flop out
-or the result doesn't matter at all, england surprises us all and does well in france
-german press predicts massive flop in france

Turns out that having a boyfriend really has an impact on my football watching.
I really have no idea where Germany is standing at this point so close to the tournament. But I think that was never the case as long as I can remember.

...so I'm looking forward to the Germany v England match. I know it's a friendly but I'd be surprised if both teams went into this not bothered - Germany especially. They aren't the strongest going into the Euros, so they could use this as building up that fighting spirit again.

As for England, thank god Rooney is out because it forces Roy to actually use some of our successful younger players aka half of the Leicester and Spurs sides.

Side note - do I really have to wait til tomorrow to eat my chocolate stash?

So Roy wants Leicester to win the Premier League then seeing as 4 Spurs players are starting. Poch is going to be bricking it the entire game! Surprised Vardy isn't starting - he better be taking Kane off at half time.

As for the Germany line-up, not sure what Loew is smoking or if he really is a genius. That defence has 1 experienced player in the national team, so Loew clearly doesn't think much of the England team. Also Gomez reappearing?!

Either way, this is as exciting as my Easter is gonna get!

I think Spurs had eight players to be called up, but Woy whittled it down to four. To be fair, if Pochettino wanted to do a SAF, he could have held back his midfielders and striker and said that they all have injuries, but you get the feeling that Pochettino understands the lure of players playing for their country.

Vardy and Drinkwater will start on Tuesday.

I gotta say, happy for Danny Rose's call up. I know Jamaica wanted him, but like Kane (who had Ireland in for him), Dier (Portugal) and Alli (Nigeria) they wanted England and they got it.
