Roy doesn't believe in 4-4-2. I'm surprised that he didn't try to play Vardy and Kane together upfront.

But yeah, Spurs players start today, Leiceseter players start on Tuesday. It might mean that he'll swap out Kane for Vardy at halftime, and probably Dier for Drinkwater?

I can understand why Roy would want to see the players in isolation and together. But he could swap that out at halftime, no?

Danny Rose is playing well.

Prayers for Poch!

Considering the German defence isn't at its strongest, I'm shocked Roy didn't play Kane and Vardy. It really shows up that Roy has no tactics whatsoever.

Prayers for Poch needs a hashtag and its own tshirt at this rate!

Same. I'd want to see if Kane and Vardy can play off each other. For all you know, they might not have chemistry- although they're talented in their own right.

For instance, I remember when Simeone made Torres and Mandzukich (sp) play upfront back in 2014/15 season it didn't work at all. According to him that was a waste of 45 mins.

I think Kane and Vardy could play well together - these friendlies are where we can test this out but no, Roy is ridiculous and probably praying for Rooney to come back.

I know, right?

Rooney is on his last legs, and yes, I get that he's the captain of the side, and blah blah, but for the sake of England's chances, we have to MOVE ON. Rooney is old, and Wilshire is crocked.

Germany is playing like some Stoke players of old though- what's with the clothesline? Is that some new defence?

I know - England need to move on with the idea that Rooney is the saviour, much like Man Utd need to move on with the idea that Fergie will be reborn and come back to save them.

Some of these German players and I point at Can mostly, have just shown up to kick England as opposed to kick the ball. Mind you, England aren't playing too clean either.

I can see the second half getting worse.

It's so weird. Like, everyone else but Roy Hodgson and Gary Neville can see that Rooney and Wilshire and probably Cahill need to be phased out. A lot of pundits (especially Tissier) have called for Rooney to step down. Supposedly Rooney is head and shoulders in the dressing room, but I do think the English team have more leaders and mature players. For one, a lot of the players have gone through the loan system instead of being academy darlings so they seem hungrier and steadier.

I hope Woy changes out most of the starting XI in the second half, because we need to see everyone play.
