With this slaughter, Bayern Munich is eleven points clear of the Bundisliga. As a neutral, this match was kinda boring, tbh.

Paderborn would have been better off cancelling the match and telling their players to stay in the showers. What a terrible performance. Even Burnley put up a better fight against Chelsea, yo (okay, almost broke Matic's leg- but at least it showed spirit!). Paderborn had none

I have things to say about Burnley's coach (it seems that I'm side eying all Northerners this weekend), but I ain't got the time! I'm kinda with Mourinho side this ONE time. That tackle by the Burnley fellow was out of order

Matic was (understandably) raging after that terrible challenge. He misses Wembley, and yeah, the FA really need to start seeing to their referees, because it's going to bring the game in disrepute

Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal

I'm meh on both teams, tbh. It's one of these results where I sit down, look at the PL table and do the math. It would have been good for LFC or Spurs if Palace had won, but Palace hadn't so *kanye shrug*. That's as much emotion as I can bring to this match result.

They won, end of. We move on

Hull 2- 1 QPR

Joey Barton of QPR punched a Hull player in his balls and got a red card. That was the highlight of the match. Moving on

That tackle on Matic was terrible. I guess the referee didn't see it. In Belgium they can punish you retroactively, looking at the footage. How is it in England?

A bunch of surprising results yesterday. I still find it difficult to form an opinion on Chelsea. They have a lot of strengths but a bunch of weaknesses too.
The Barcelona result surprised me. But all the big teams stumble at some point in the season, I guess. The City-Barca match will be interesting. City is overdue a win against a big non-English team in the knock-outs.

I don't understand the 'Bayern goes 11 points clear at the top of the table'. English papers use it all the time. But how can you go clear at the top when the 2nd in the race has a game in hand? Or maybe I just don't understand the true meaning of the saying.

Diego Costa got a retroactive red card for stomping on Emre Can. If Chelsea appeal Matic's red card (you can appeal a red here, iirc, just not a yellow), the match can be rewatched on tape, and then retroactive punishments can be dispensed.

Málaga isn't a bad side? It happens sometimes. Barcelona just weren't firing, but to be fair to Malaga they stepped up the pace, and just blocked all passing channels. Look and learn, Atlético Madrid, look and learn.

But how can you go clear at the top when the 2nd in the race has a game in hand?

Idiom? We look at the league table calculated on match day or match week. We don't really count the (oncoming) game in hand (for next week). For all you know, a meteor might destroy one of the clubs and its stadium next week, you know?

Did you read the quote by Simeone that Atleti are going for the 3rd place now? Well, I guess it's good to lower expectations a bit, but I was still a bit surprised, even though what he said it makes sense - Atleti winning the league last year was something extraordinary. Here's hoping they have a chance in the CL sooner or later, before Simeone leaves.

I prefer pics, because I rarely bother / have time to watch the videos! And pics are nice because the moment is frozen and you have a better look at it. :)

ETA: Did you guys see that some Chelsea fan has organized a "fundraising" for a trip to London for the Paris racial abuse victim?

But I think the victim is allegedly suing Chelsea AND PSG, so either way, he's going to get paid.

No, I didn't read that about Simeone, but to be fair, unless they know how to pick the lock that is Barcelona, they aren't going to have a shot at first. I think going for third might be good monetary wise, considering that come next season, they can get good players and keep their best ones. I think 2015/16 might be their year tbh.

According to my italian timeline Parma has NOT been officially liquidated yet and there's still a chance the club might me saved, but yeah, the situation is indeed terrible and if they don't find an investor asap they're done.

I only now saw the tackle on Matic and JFC, that was nasty. I'm glad Burnley managed to get a point out of Chelsea and all but I hope that dude gets some retroactive punishiment, it was awful.

I dislike the Adidas kits because they all look similar, especially if you're a lower league team (not Real Madrid, Bayern, etc). The three stripes along the sleeves give all the kits in all the league a depressing sameness, whereas with the Nike kits and their little logo (puma is similar to this), you can do a lot of designs not having to worry about the stupid stripes.

In addition, the three stripes tend to interrupt the design instead of accessorising:







Just yuck all around.

As someone who pretty much follows only her club & NT of choice, I've never really noticed that about Adidas kits before, haha. But yeah, I see your point. :p Though I don't feel like the stripes disrupt the design really...though maybe it's just that since both my club & NT wear Adidas, I've been brainwashed, haha. XD;;;

I think Adidas designs work best with a solid colour. Like the blue samurai:

The little pink on the socks make it work. Otherwise, Adidas tends to egg the designs a bit too much- the kit for the Spanish NT is minging:

The colour scheme is nice, but the drop shoulder lines really ruin a classic design. I hope that doesn't come back in 2015/16 season!

as much as a think most adidas kits look boring as fuck, as a fellow designer i can appreciate the ingenuity of the 3 stripes thing, in terms of branding. yes, most of them are dull, but an adidas kit is the only one you can identify from afar, no matter the damn angle, without the need to even show the damn logo.
it makes for some boring as hell kits sometimes, but it's damn good branding for the company.

I don't mind boring, as much as ugly. There's a reason why Southampton ditched Adidas and started making their own kit in house (only for Adidas to come back with more money and they've succumbed to having a kit in the 2015/16 season). I get the three lines, but their stuff is just fug, and less whatever team you're buying and more them. Whereas with Nike their kits have the room to be a lot more individual (and puma too).
