So today (February 2) is the day that winter transfer window closes. And let's face it, summers transfers are way more fun and worrying.

But anyway, what are your thoughts about this window? Has your club signed someone useful (or useless)? Have they missed out on any special player that you had your eye on? Any news/hopes/dreams about summer transfers? And while we're on the subject, what were the best transfers made by your club? Any shocking ones? Ones that made you weep or cheer or laugh?

I'm actually kind of satisfied how Arsenal have handled this transfer window. No unnecessary purchases (lmao sounds like I'm talking about inanimate objects), no unhappy departures, and overall it has been fine. It's not that I even expected them to go crazy with this, but you never know with Arsenal. :D

Good grief. He's playing first team minutes at Atletico, they are in CL, have won prizes and considered one of the most exciting teams in recent years. On top of that, they're getting some serious investment/money. Seriously, at the moment, it can't get any better for him.

We got Kampl but idk, I'm not sure he is gonna be our saviour somehow, although he's slotted in well to the team really quickly. We do need strikers who can actually finish while Reus gets back to full match fitness, I'm sure if we weren't in such a shit position we may have put in for Schürrle.

Standard player Mpoku leaves for Cagliari. But probably through a construction where he signs for Qatari club Al-Arabi who then loan him to Cagliari. Al-Arabi also signed Maxime Lestienne in summer to loan him out to Genoa. I wonder what the strategy behind this is.

I'm still trying to figure out how Boston won the Superbowl. Some guy caught the ball in the second half last quarter and they won? Another guy was tackled but the ball didn't fall on to the pitch? Tom Brady helped them score touchdowns? The referee was shit? (I feel you there, Americans) Gridiron football is so confusing.

girl let me tell you. i am an american and i still don't understand american football. SigH.

Ummmm I think Seattle was leading (the scoreline was something like 24-28) and then about 1ft from the touchdown line (basically the goal), it was intercepted (so like basically a stoke player shoving himself in front of the ball and taking it from us. unsuccessful pass?) so when it's intercepted your team gets to play...because...i don't know. That's how it works.

So New England had the ball and they were able to push all the way up 100yards (which is baisclaly like 100m anyway) and then score a touchdown and win.

Also Katy Perry looked like a pokemon and/or Katniss Everdeen.

Maybe Kaboul is captain the same way that Arteta (and before, Vermalean) was captain. LOL Per has been captain for the last bit hasn't he? I really hope Mikel stays though. He definitely raises the handsomeness quotient in the team, and he's a good footballer when he's not injured.

My PC just spent 2.5 hours in the computer shop and came out with a new (better) mainboard, and because the old CPU didn't fit into that one, a new CPU that is a whole lot faster. For free, because it is all still in the 5-year-warranty.

Buying a custombuilt machine rather than some computer chain's "special offer" was worth every Euro.

My father does that a lot. The desktop we have is a custom built one running on Windows XP. It was alright when we first got it but now it's terribly slow. I don't even bother using it (I have a laptop) and I suspect my father was swindled when he got it.
