NEIL LENNON WANTS FREDDIE LJUNGBERG TO BE A KING.
CELTIC boss Neil Lennon has already handed Freddie Ljungberg Henrik Larsson's old number - and told him he's looking for a new King of Parkhead.
Ljungberg has been training in the number seven kit that Larsson wore with such distinction during seven golden years in Paradise between 1997 and 2004.
And Lennon has admitted he wants to use the January window to bring in some footballing royalty ready to bring steel and experience to his side.
Larsson was hailed 'The King of Kings' by the Bhoys support and Lennon is out to bring in others capable of wearing the crown.
Toronto FC skipper Dwayne de Rosario has arrived on trial with West Ham United striker Benni McCarthy the latest hit-man to be linked with a move.
Lennon said: "We brought in the likes of Beram Kayal, Efrain Juarez and Joe Ledley earlier this year and that was not a short-term thing. That was about development for the next few years, but you also want a couple of kings in the team that can talk others through it at times."We just lack that."
Ljungberg has only completed two training sessions, but Lennon admits he looks like fitting the bill adding : "Freddie has got that quality and he is the type of player we are looking to bring in.
"He might bring a calmness to the team as well.Experience brings that to you.You recognise moments in games and know what to do more than young players. The one thing we are lacking is that bit of nous.
"You could see in training that he was quite willing to talk to the players, talk during games and talk during training."
Meanwhile, De Rosario, 32, could help bolster the squad with Shaun Maloney out injured.Lennon said: "He is a little bit like Maloney in his play.He likes to come off the left on his right foot and he is skilful.
