This was aired around a week ago. Beckham talks about his injury, his contract with LA Galaxy and whether he will be joining the England National Team for the World Cup in South Africa this year. Note: The video does contain photos of his Achilles heel surgery.
That was really, really interesting. I loved hearing his views on the finances in football at the moment. And I love it when he says he's a United fan. It's always interesting to hear someone talk about something you're interested in to people who know nothing about it. Which sounds ridiculous, but yeah.
I just thought it was so sad that he almost got teary eyed when he was talking about playing for England and how he wouldn't be able to go. Poor Becks :( I hope he ends up going with the England team.
I love love loooove how Becks was so patient throughout the entire interview.<3 So professional. So classy. So sad his misfortune's keeping from the world cup next month, so unfair.:'(
i was like D: when i saw him trying to walk out perfectly, i don't really have a beckham ~infatuation~, but he's passionate for his sport and to see him miss out just sucks in general.
tbh when I saw this I was mostly thrilled Letterman at least tried to ask football-related questions cuz the last time I saw an American tv show interview Becks it was on Ellen and she was basically like "TAKE OFF YOUR SHIRT. CAN WE SEE YOUR ABS? TAKE OFF YOUR SHIRT!1"
omg, yes I saw the Ellen interview too. I was like, "Ellen, if someone didn't know you were a lesbian they would have no idea by the way you're acting...talk about football please!"
i screamed like crazy because i love gma and it's been SO LONG since i've seen him on american tv. anyway, i can't get enough of his voice squeaking @ 2:07 in response to his wifey's love for shopping in LA LOL!
and i was thrilled to see those older fanboys in the audience hahahaha. and the end when robin goes, "i hope you're covering the kids' eyes back there." LMAO!
i don't want to focus on how stupid letterman is here, so firstly, hot damn my baby can wear a 3 piece fine !!
David's intelligence is always so underrated, but this particular interview only seems to further encourage my belief that there is obviously much more going on beneath the surface than people give him credit for. Perhaps it's mainly in contrast to just how ignorant Letterman comes across as being here, but David's professionalism in the face of that was top♥
i love the smoldering, furrowed brow look he always does oh his smug face when talking about United♥
my only wish is that he explained the notion of extra time because jfc letterman, if you really had watched a game of football, you'd notice the official on the sidelines raise the huge number board indicating how many minutes are added /end
