Here's your daily Spanish press transfer shit storm and trust me, today it's GOOD...

Apparently, Valencia has now decided they don't want to sell David Villa after putting him on the market last month. Villa's agent is not amused. This makes me think that Señor Bitchface's decision wasn't really to stay at Mestalla.

The David Villa saga appears to have taken a huge twist this afternoon with reports in Spain claiming that Valencia have declared he is no longer for sale.

The forward was thought to be on the verge of a move to Real Madrid but this looks to be in doubt now and he could stay on at the Mestalla.

Marca reports that the news filtered in this morning when Villa's agent Jose Luis Tamargo met with Valencia president Manuel Llorente to discuss a move to Madrid.

The intention of Tamargo was to start from scratch and to try and reach a deal that both Valencia and Madrid could agree on.

However, the outcome of the meeting was very different as Llorente told him that Villa is not for sale to any club.

Speaking immediately afterwards to Sport, Tamargo explained that "they have changed their idea. Now they say that they do not want to sell and he does not have a price, so they have told me".

Tamargo is now set to release a statement within the next few hours explaining in full the situation of the Valencia striker.

Villa himself is currently in Spain with the national team as they prepare for their next Confederations Cup match with South Africa this weekend.

He has apparently been told about the decision by Valencia but it is not known what his reaction has been.

In other, even more lol-worthy news, Manchester United is apparently set to put in a bid for Iker Casillas. I'm the farthest thing from a madridista but the thought makes my stomach churn.

I love how one of the commenters on the Marca site says that for him to move to Manchester, they'd have to find a way to move Móstoles along with him :')

In other Madrid news, As is reporting that you can now buy the new RM shirts but that the only Names/Numbers availables are those of Casillas, Raúl and Sergio Ramos. Make of that what you will.

Yeah, the clubs who made offers for him aren't going to be too keen to do business with Valencia again after being messed around so much.

To be honest, even though they've come out with this again I still don't really expect him to be a Valencia player next season. Like you said, they need the money, he's their most valuable asset, and they've changed their minds over this transfer so much already I don't see why they wouldn't do it again.

Didn't a Sid Lowe article say a while ago, though, that Valencia's debt was so massive selling Villa and/or Silva would be like 'selling your playstation to repay your home loan'? I mean the analogy isn't spot on, but now that this whole capital raising thing was approved of (...being a commerce student it is an utter failure on my part to not know exactly what that was) isn't it anyway better to focus on keeping a good team and possibly not self destructing this season?
