The season stated with Tevez, Anderson, Ronaldo, Neville, Carrick and Hargreaves all out.Result was a 1-1 draw:

United got a glimpse of the future as Campbell, Rafael and Possebon all featured:

United won at their boogey ground Fratton Park and Fletcher seized his chance with another goal:

Anderson was back but the Supercup against Zenit was a disater, a 2-1 defeat with the first of Vidic's goals and the first of Scholes's red cards:




United finally bought Dimitar Berbatov with Frazier Campbell going the other way:



Berbatov, Tevez and Rooney played together for the first time.



but the LP were gifted two goals and Vidic was sent off.



 

Another tough away match against Chelsea resulted in a 1-1 draw with Evans admirably making his first start:




This was to be Hargreaves last match as he was ruled out for the season:



Ronaldo returned from injury and our trio were reunited:

Next was a trip to Ewood Park in which United won 2-0:





18/10/08- West Brom Berbatov scored his first United goal in a 4-0 win:



Rafael made his first Prem start too:




Next up was Everton and United didn't manage to get 3 points:

The first of 2 penalties conceded at OT by United which almost embarrased United as they went from 4-1 to 4-3:



8/11/08- An attacking football match ends in a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal:



But Rafael comes on for Neville and shows some great promise capping it with a goal:



15/11/08- United thrash Stoke 5-0 with Ronaldo scoring a double:



And with MANCHESTER born Welbeck scoring a beauty on his debut:

The Aston Villa match ended 0-0 with Ronaldo telling them whose number 1:



Rooney struck his 100th goal in a 1-0 win over Man City as Ronaldo was sent off:



Ronaldo was awarded with the ballon d'or for his fine form last season



6/12/08-Vidic scares away Sunderland's parked bus in the 91st minute with a sweetly struck shot:

21/12/08- The team go to Japan and return WORLD CHAMPIONS:

This was followed by a crucial victory against an aggressive Stoke side:

Berbatov came up with the winner against Boro:



He told us some FACHTS before the United vs Chelsea match.

11/01.09- United blew Chelsea and the rest of the Prem away with a 3-0 victory:





The chants of Argentina bellowed through Old Trafford at every occasion:



Next came Wigan, it only took United 2 minutes to score:



United waited almost another 90 minutes for another goal which came in the 91st minute against Bolton:




Ronaldo hadn't scored in a while so he was pleased to score twice against West Brom in a 5-0 victory:



A tight match was won by a Ronaldo penalty against Everton:



United also made history that match with their 11th consecutive clean sheet:



Ryan Giggs showed why he still is a class act with the winner against West Ham:





Scholes was not to be outdone as he got onto the scoresheet in the 3-0 win over Fulham:



21/02/09-The cleansheet record was broken as Santa Cruz scored and United came from behind to win 2-1:



4/03/09-VDS's individual record was broken as he gifted Newcastle their first goal but United repeated the trick:





14/03/09- A disasterous 90 minutes for United in which they lost 4-1 to LP with Vidic again sent of leaving the team demoralised:



Worse was to come when United lost 2-0 to Fulham and had Scholes and Rooney sent on:



5-04-09- Rio and Vidic missed their first Prem match in 2 years so it was no surprise to find United 2-1 down after 80 minutes. However a goal by Ronaldo bought the team level and Macheda stepped of the bench to score a dramatic winner:





Macheda proved he was not a one hit wonder with another winner against Sunderland in a 2-1 win:



This was followed by a 2-0 win over Portsmouth. It was Scholes' 600th appeareance and Giggs' 799 with them both getting assists:








Next came a rejuvenated Tottenham and United managed to come from 2 goals down and win 5-2 showing their fighting spirit and determination to win number 18:

2-05-09-Newly crowned PFA winner Giggs scored in the 2-0 win over Boro




10-05-09- United beat City 2-0 to go within 4 points of winning the league:



Tevez was slowly but surely heading towards the exit door.



And United continued to do things the hard way by coming back from behind to win 2-1 against Wigan:



Evra told Rafa it was over:



A 0-0 draw with Arsenal sealed it:



Hell yes:
