I do admire how he's acknowledged the people who have helped him, and kudos to him for giving that gift to the charity (there's a cot that keeps the baby's body at a certain temperature so the parents have a prolonged time to grieve).

His comments about just being struck by sadness and being happy for it pretty much made me tear up.

I'm glad that he's lucked out in having a supportive manager and team, that's all I can say.

Nice article about Bayern players, Thomas Müller specifically, visiting fan clubs (that's a thing Bayern does). The locals made a film for him in which a small child played Philipp Lahm, to Müller's great joy. Sadly no film in the article.

That was a great article! Interesting that NY Times covered it and the guy who wrote the article, Rory Smith, now has a column on football; I suppose it's a response to the popularity of the sport in America.

Yeah, it was! I think Rory Smith used to write for The Times (of London)? Anyway, I'm glad the NYT have got a regular column. Most of their football articles were either during the international tournaments or before el Clasico.
