I got a notification for an early goal and hoped it was him. Yay! I'm so glad when the young lads are scoring, since they're under so much scrutiny.

I'm impressed at how calm he is, tbh. No celebration, just got on with it.

What's nice was seeing Rooney and Kane's faces when he scored. Ahhh. Rashford is what Harry Kane was last season, I'm glad he cleared that hurdle with an early goal!

Ah, you're right, I have forgotten about the obsession with Kane last season!

It's good when they get that first goal quick so that's done and over with. Similar as Martial at ManUtd this season, although he was under more pressure due to the price tag.

Yeah, Harry Kane was a bat out of hell last season. Rashford has been fortunate in that most of the media seemed to spunk their glee on Dele Alli and Jamie Vardy this season. So if Rashford hadn't done well, they can say that 'he's for the future'. But the kid seems to know his lines. Rashford is a very cool customer.

Yeah honestly I haven't seen that much hype about Rashford and most of the coverage about him has been positive so far. Btw, apparently he's the youngest player ever to score on England debut.

Get him, Rashford. I hope he goes on the plane. I think Sturridge is too injury prone (with Hodgson and the England NT specificially) to risk his form. Sturridge got the lintany of injuries after his form with England. He might want to sit this one out, tbh. Rasford also seems to hustle more.

Like I said, I think most of the hype exploded over Vardy and his form. Then Dele Alli and Eric Dier had their thing this year so Rashford has been more of a good will thing and less, OMG A STAR IS BORN. It helps in that people don't know if Mourinho will play him or pass him on next season.
