He's got no more excuses not to. He's now got the cash to splurge if necessary. He's spent (reasonably) big the past two seasons. Got Sanchez unexpectedly early in the transfer window last season. Left the Bambi signing to the very last minute the season prior. If Arsenal do well in the upcoming matches am sure he'll leave things be, but if they're still lacking a certain OOMPH it would be unimaginable he doesn't buy. Many are impressed with the Arsenal squad this season, but in general many agree that they just need one more key signing. Don't waste this season, Wenger!

No idea. Popular rumor is insisting it's Benzema ... so that rules him out :P

Doesn't help Wenger dropped one of his vague, "Anything can still happen" when asked about any more transfers, so now many are convinced SOMEONE is going to be signed, so they're just lining up the usual suspects. How I do wish the transfer window would just close already, even if we don't sign anyone, because all this speculation is stripping me of my will to live.

I still think Benteke would have been a good choice, he's a bit of the opposite of Giroud.

"Anything can still happen" isn't that Wenger-speak for "don't get your hopes up, no one is coming"?

I can't see Real selling Benz because Perez has got some financial hard-on for that boy and refuses to part with him. Have Pipita a swift kick in the plump booty when he said he wanted out, but Benz was like his prized signing or something because they're clinging to him.

I believe so. And with that the "buy cheap, sell big" transfer strategy is no longer necessary. Now Wenger's sitting on a mountain of cash that can freely be spent. Just ONE big signing, man, JUST ONE MORE!
