Ochoa confirmed for Malaga move


One of the World Cup's hottest commodities this year has finally chosen a club to play for. He was playing as a free agent during the Cup after his contract with Ajaccio expired last season, and now the Mexican Ted Mosby is moving from France to Spain. There is no doubt that Ochoa will clinch the #1 keeper position as Malaga lost theirs to ManCity. Malaga will introduce Ochoa in a news conference this Friday, August 1.

Whew. I'm so relieved that all my favorites are either in (or going to) La Liga or EPL. No need to stress over/keep tabs on other leagues. :p

That World Cup performance was nothing short of spectacular. The World Cup in general was the cup of Keepers

And as cheesy as it sounds, shall stay with me forever. He was absolutely everywhere.

May he inspire a whole generation of keepers.

A bit underwhelming considering the hype around him during the World Cup (I thought he would end up at a big club), but I'm glad he will be in Spain.

True, but now he's almost sure of the number one spot. Instead of sitting on the bench as the second keeper, which would happen at most of the big clubs.

ahhhhh :') i'm so happy! a keeper of his caliber deserves to play in la liga. he doesn't just make unbelievable saves but he's also got a good mind for defensive tactics. he is amaysing. <3

The Liga website says Malaga will face Athletic Bilbao on August 23. They have some pre-season matches too but I think Ochoa will most likely make his debut at the start of the season.
