lol it was actually a snake that got itself trapped on the front porch of my grandparents house, and I own a TINY snake (in comparison to the one my mum and I rescued x_x), but I've never had to deal with a wild snake large enough to strangle me before, so it was... interesting :\

To further clarify, I live in Australia. Not the outback or anything. The suburban area of Sydney, but things like massive pythons aren't uncommon XD

I was wondering if you lived in Australia, actually, as I know snakes are very common. Though it's really good it wasn't one of the highly venomous ones you folks are blessed with! :D

Congrats on your animal rescue. Most people here - USA - would've run screaming.
