I was already at school when it happened, about 1 or 2pm here in the Philippines. News spread pretty quickly. We made a lot of stupid jokes about it, but really everyone's worried.

I'm in Manila, which is tucked away on the western coast of the country, so we're not too bothered about our own personal safety, but everyone has friends&family on the eastern seaboard, not to mention a sizeable Filipino community in Japan (incidentally, since this is ontd_fb, our national football team is in Japan at the moment as well! They're fine, thankfully). I really hope this doesn't get worse.
