Fabio Capello names his squad to face Montenegro at Wembley.

Fabio Capello has named his squad to face Montenegro in the third and final Euro 2012 qualifier of the year.

After wins over Bulgaria and Switzerland, England will be looking to make it nine points from three games at Wembley on Tuesday 12 October.

Bolton forward Kevin Davies is called up for the first time by Capello, joining Darren Bent, Peter Crouch and Wayne Rooney among the attacking options.

Also returning for the first time this season are Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Aaron Lennon and Rob Green. In midfield Jack Wilshere has been named in both the senior squad and Stuart Pearce's England Under-21s.

Squad in full

Ben Foster (Birmingham City), Robert Green (West Ham United), Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Joleon Lescott (Manchester City), John Terry (Chelsea), Stephen Warnock (Aston Villa)

Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Joe Cole (Liverpool), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Tom Huddlestone (Tottenham Hotspur), Adam Johnson (Manchester City), Aaron Lennon (Tottenham Hotspur), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Manchester City), Ashley Young (Aston Villa)

Whilst we're talking about Englishmen, here is praise for some of the England dudes, Adam Johnson and Crouchie (well, I would) for their performances this weekend , as well as criticism of Karl Henry for his horror lunge on Saturday and the fair play rankings so far

How awesome is Adam Johnson?? He's had to make a name for himself at Manchester City, no easy feat by any stretch of the imagination, and manages to be the very definition of the word "super-sub".

Peterpoo =) =) I would have liked him to have not been so failtastic in front of goal and score a couple himself, but it's nice to see him having some input :))) ngl, when I first heard Van der Vaart was joining Spurs, I just fretted that he'd slip lower down in the pecking order, assuming VDV to be an obvious starter in their new 4-4-1-1 system, and Crouch to get fewer starts. But it's nice to see the two gelling. Pride for my beautiful robot <3

Now, onto something considerablly more sour, Karl Henry's lunge (and second red of the season already) bungs Wolves at the top of the foul play league:

And, staying with The Guardian, selected interesting post-match comments from Arsene Wenger:

Heheheh :p

So anyway. I'm putting this out there -- which was worse; De Jong's double-leg breaker, or Karl Henry's lunge?
(er. poll function failing for me. fail.) I don't wanna hear from anyone "he's just not that type of player"!!! :-p

Wilshere tweeted he is preparing for the U21s game on friday...
Glad he is called up tho. He can play in both games if need be.

Now lets hope Capello actually utilizes some of the new combination options rather than doing the usual of calling up a load of players only to play the same few players every game - even if they´re crap

If it weren't for Drogba's fine ass, Czech's fantastic goalkeeper skills and that amazing shot from Alex from yesterday's game, then I'd totally hate on you.
BUT LET'S JUST SAY THAT I'M FRUSTRATED THAT YOU GUYS STARTED OFF SO WELL IN THE NEW SEASON AND MANUNITED IS JUST LIKE DOING DRAWS AND SHIT AND BERBATOV IS MY ONLY HOPE RIGHT NOW DUNNO. ;___;

It makes me laugh when I hear people say we have "not history" and are "glory hunting chavs" all in one go, if we have no history, how can we be glory hunters? lol

Here's thought for some... We may not have the history that United or Liverpool have, or other clubs, but we are writing our History now. So deal. ;)

My four year old nephew is in love with Chelsea (he digs the color blue, his favorite number is 5 so Essien-we're Ghanian like him- is his man) and it was so cute and funny to watch the game with him yesterday. They played a beautiful game and it was a well deserved win. The more I see of them on the pitch the more I enjoy the team. So congrats :)

i'm always so impressed with people who read the guardian! i'll just be over here with the mirror.

johnson is a really impressive player and he seems to be behaving himself (as far as i know) unlike a lot of his england team mates!
