Timo Hildebrand to Sporting Lisbon

According to this and this article Time Hildebrand, a German goalkeeper who has been unemployed since he left 1899 Hoffenheim in July, will go to Sporting Lisbon.
Rough summary:
Timo Hildebrand (31 years old) flew to Lisbon and agreed with Sportings' manager Costinha on a contract. According to Radio Renascenca only the signature is missing, everything else was agreed on already. No details about the contract known, though.
He has to compete with their national goalkeeper Rui Patrício for the place in the goal. Since he left TSG 1899 Hoffenheim he was unemployed and without a team. He kept himself fit at "Stuttgarter Kickers".
He played for VfB Stuttgart, FC Valencia and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim; additionally he was part of the German national team 2004-2007.
