LOL.
Manchester United Prepared for Record Breaking £95m Real Madrid Bid: Jose Mourinho Sets Sights on England Man Rooney
Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly prepared for a record breaking bid from Real Madrid for England international Wayne Rooney as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in a new set of Galaticos this summer.
The Bernabeu outfit is set to back their new boss with a massive cash injection and the former Inter Milan and Chelsea boss has earmarked the 24 year old striker as his number one target.
Mourinho is hoping that the financial difficulties at Old Trafford would make the club’s owners consider such a massive offer for their prized asset but Ferguson is sure to fight against any potential sale.
Fabio Capello will be looking to Rooney to lead the line at the World Cup later this month and the former Everton man is hoping to continue his rich vein of form that saw him net 34 times in 42 starts. Clearly relations between Man United and Real Madrid have been strained for some time and Sir Alex is not enamoured by the club who has over the years nabbed a plethora of talent from the club most recently last summer when the La Liga giants stumped up £80m for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite Manuel Pellegrini spending over £200m last summer the club failed to wrestle the Spanish title from Barcelona and slumped out of the Champions League to Lyon. Mourinho has been brought in to reverse the club’s fall from grace in the past two seasons and the Portuguese manager has been told he will have large sums of money with which to re-invigorate his squad

Mou is probably looking at 2 defenders and 1-2 Midfielders. He sees Ramos as a CB so #1 on the transfer list is probably Maicon as a RB. Kolarov is another defender I've seen being linked to RM recently
Maybe De Rossi as a MFerl?
T:;DR: Bullshit

But, that's just my opinion :)

Yeah that's the only one I can think of who's done well abroad albeit he's been there for a year and a half.

But isn't Rooney too ugly for Real Madrid? The same way Ronaldinho was "too ugly" to sell RM shirts?

Where were you back in '03?

At least I can't remember anyone calling him too ugly for any club considering what a great footballer he is/used to be.
I hope this means you were actually using sarcasm in your comment.

They should steal KFC's motto.

For me it's about how exceptional a person is.
(And it took me too damn long to tell the guys at Real apart x)

Well, last thing I heard he didn't want any major changes to the squad anyway. And honestly, I totally agree with what

This Rooney link has come out of the blue, seems to be an agent/insider throwing about names to cause a buzz.
no subject
And it's not like Rooney or United need any buzz after all.

I still never noticed Wayne Rooney to Real Madrid transfer gossip at all this year so I was quite oblivious that it's been around!

you'd think England was the only country with any decent players with these rumours.

Anyway, I don't believe Ferguson is going to let Rooney go so easily.
The rumour lane is been so full of bullshit lately...

If/When Jose's gonna get a player, it's probably gonna be a defender, and unless Rooney is a defender, then yeah...
no subject
uh huh. That's about a likely as this Rooney rumor.
