Ok my translation is real basic:

The reporter says: We are here to see what's up with this scandal

Ibra what do you think of this photo
Your mad, your mad

He's mad

We've shown him the photo and he's not amused

(Ibra points to the reporter to come around the car. He rolls down the window. Reporter leans in)

Ibra are you upset?

He responds: Come to my house to see if I am gay
She says: Vale I'll go to your house
Ibra: Bring your sister too
Reporter: Ibra your mad, don't be mad, (and ibra says other things)

Wow these reporters are annoying. As much as I wished the photo were true, as my love pointed out, they were caught in a chest hug, side kiss thing. But seriously the whole homophobia thing that has surfaced makes me ill. ughh

how has the media reacted other than talk about it insistently? I honestly don't know, being from the US the media here is obviously not carrying the story around at all but I'm sure its different in Spain or Europe.

My whole point is, if all they've been doing is talking about it, without being homophobic, I don't get how their reaction is any different from the reaction it got on livejournal and why the media would be blamed for something I think is the fault of society as a whole.

It just irritates me the way the media saw the image and was immediately "OMG GAYS!", I agree that it is a large fault of our society that we see homosexuality as a stigma in sports and i think football is stuck in the dark ages when it comes to homosexuality compared to how they've tackled other problems like racism.

It just annoys me how this story of a photo has gained so much negative attention when there is bigger problems in spain already, but it seems "two football players caught in a risque photo? holy crap!" trumps proper news. I also meant obviously the reaction on livejournal and the media is going to be different, this blog on most occasions is soft news, where most media should try for a level of professionalism, which when tackling this story most of them missed completely.

Sorry for the essay lol

with "media" I just assumed outlets similar to TMZ or E!News running the news but it sounds like the more serious news stations are running it as well and IAC that is getting out of hand
