My commentator was saying that Del Bosque wanted to select Guiza and Llorente but Torres and Villa asked to play?!

IIRC they are still the top scorers in the competition so maybe they wanted to play to try and get a couple more goals so that the team could at least win something worthwhile from this comp?

I was thinking, they like playing football and I don't think they'd want to voluntarily sit out. Also the pichichi must be something for them to aim for

TBH whilst they all just want to play, so do Sergio, Puyol, Cesc, Silva, Xavi etc but they have all taken their turn on the bench.

Also if they asked to play even though Del Bosque wanted to play the other strikers - if there isn't a decent reason like wanting to be the top scorers - then I think it is a bit selfish of them decide their wanting to start was more important than giving the other players a chance in what is really an unimportant game (in the grand scheme of things)
