Yes! It's interesting that Obsorne only started to make noises about the North after he got kicked out of government by May, to the point where he had the front to be running for some political job in the North (I want to say Mayor of Manchester?). David Cameron couldn't even look beyond his mirror to see what was going on in the country. Himself and Boris Johnson are soulmates, tbh.
I do remember expressing concern that people in teh remain camp were too London centric and complacent re: Brexit and remain. When the vote came in, all my friends in London were shocked and I was like, "Well, if people looked beyond the M25 periodically, that would be nice."
Yeah, I think (I hope) I'll be better prepared for Euro 2020- although having the matches in thirteen different countries is a nonsense, but w/e. People in UEFA think that everyone has access to private planes to go hither and yon. Just to go to Marseilles, I had to drive an hour to an airport and take two planes - only to watch England lose to Russia and get caught up in the kerfuffle. Madness.
