Chatter from the sidelines
- .@DiMarzio understands Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal in principle with Inter Milan for Erik Lamela. #THFC Good, he's not for the English game at all. Too much time on the ball and dreadful decision making. Good luck to the lad though, I really liked him. Pochettino is doing a brisk clean out
- Pedro: "Chelsea were the club that resolved the situation the quickest and who showed the most interest in me.” #UCL #CFC Oh man, I'm still laugh crying over this one.
- Milan have assigned a bodyguard for Balotelli to oversee him [Sky's Di Marzio]. They should get rid of his hanger on too
- LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane insists MLS is THE league as football continues to grow rapidly in the USA In the country of the blind, a one eyed man is king. It's easy for Keane, Gerrard and the rest of the Designated Players to say, because they're being paid millions and have free agency. The American professional soccer players probably make the same in a year that some academy grads in Europe make in a quarter of the time, and have to share flats with their teammates. On top of all of this, there's no free agency! For instance, when Harry Kane signed his first professional contract to Spurs (this was up to November, 2014) he was on wages of £6k a week, and if he wanted to do a Bosman could have run his contract down and moved on somewhere else. That being said, other players whose careers are on the wind down are looking towards MLS than say, Qatar or China. That being said, it's an interesting article. Go and read. Relegation will never happen, so it will just be playoffs. I guess.
- Lucas Leiva STILL set for Liverpool exit, despite Brendan Rodgers saying he 'is our best defensive midfield player' following his impressive display against Arsenal *SIGHS*

Arsenal 0- 0 Liverpool

I'm in a hurry, so I won't tarry over this match, just to say that LFC got lucky. That linesman was their best new signing. Again, I don't mind the draw, but referees and linesmen are supposed to do their jobs, and it's twice in a row that LFC have benefited from the official decisions and that can only bring the game into disrepute. Or am I overreacting? Anyway...

The match was open- in that teams went from box to box and unable to penetrate

Both goalkeepers were making saves that really, they shouldn't have to? Rodgers might be wanking himself blind to 'our organised defence' but still, some saves Migs shouldn't have had to do. Try this in Europe Rodgers, and see what we get. Oh, congratulations to Mignolet, he has twelve clean sheets so far in 2015 (including last season and this ongoing one), a record!

Cech was on it! But there's something when it comes to Liverpool, all of a sudden opposition goalkeepers get an inspired form. Rubbish!

Seriously, Cech was gathering up them balls like they were golden nuggets in the time of a stock market crash and money is nothing but paper. Oh, too on the nose?

Joe Gomez (LFC) is damned good. Too bad for Moreno, because Moreno has gone from starter to sub. Like coming into the match in the last ten minutes sub

Moreno could have had a goal but missed. In retrospect, since Ramsey's goal was disallowed, fair is fair. I understood Wenger's frustration - and I don't even like Arsenal

Anatomy of Ramsey's goal. Tell me how that is offside?

Roberto Firminio impressed, as he should? LFC paid enough for him

Milner impressed.

Lucas shut it down. Good luck with your new club, Levia!

Joe Gomez again, one for the future.
OP: done! Cheers, jeers, corrections and pushback against commentary, you know the drill!
