Brendan Rodgers dismisses Manchester City link and puts Liverpool first Gossip- for it's not the first time I'm hearing of this rumour- City is looking to offload Pelligrini and are trying to find his replacement. Guardiola and Simeone are names that keep coming up, and they've been looking in Rodgers' direction, because they like the fact that his teams get better as the season goes on. Considering that Man City want to conquer Europe and Rodgers has shown that he can't do that, they would be best off looking elsewhere. Besides, no shade, but Liverpool is a club with a higher profile abroad than say, Man City. If Rodgers were to leave LFC, I think he'd try his luck abroad, ala Moyes, tbh

Diego Simeone to Manchester City? Five reasons why the Atletico Madrid boss would being plenty of spice to the Premier League speaking of Simeone, I was listening to Radio Marca yesterday (#nojudgement) and they were all abuzz with news of Simeone and his links to Atlético and England. Personally, I hope he stays at Atlético like a Sir Alex Ferguson. Atlético are looking to pay him much more than they pay their football talent (something like £4.5 million going forward) just to keep him there. In addition, Atlético is getting investment and growing. That being said, I do think that Simeone is restless, as a coach of the modern game, you have to be.
