yeah tbh I find it insulting. it's different if you're just talking to a girl about it, we mess around, but most guys assume automatically that you're a fangirl and they think you know nothing about it/aren't interested because you genuinely like the sport. it happens to me almost every time and after a minute of talking about it with them they realise I know 10000x more than they do.
the worst part is I grew up as a tomboy (hate the word but it's appropriate I guess..) for most of my life and was always the sporty one among my friends and family, so whenever a guy questions that now or gives me that look when I say I'm into football or sports, I just want to smack them lol.
