Parents racially abuse black AC Milan kids during Under-10 match against PSG

Black players from the Rossoneri's Under-10 youth side were allegedly booed and heckled by parents on the sidelines during their Universal Cup match with PSG

Black players from AC Milan's Under-10 team were allegedly subjected to racist abuse from parents during their Universal Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

The Universal Cup is an annual youth tournament featuring 48 teams from around the world - including Chelsea, Juventus, Inter, Ajax and Benfica - and is currently taking place in Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany.

On Sunday, AC Milan's Under-10s played against their PSG equivalents for a place in the semi-finals but their black players were booed and heckled throughout the match by parents on the sidelines.

It is not known which team the racist parents were following.

The Rossoneri completed the game, which they won 4-0, but expressed their anger to organisers after the match. They also consoled their black players who had been abused.

AC Milan published a statement on their official website, saying: "It has been brought to our attention that, during yesterday’s match between Milan-PSG, there were alleged incidents of racism towards Milan’s black players from certain 'people' in the stands.

"We do not wish to magnify the issue, but truly hope that these reports aren’t true or that it was simply a sporadic incident. If they were to be confirmed, then it would be simply unacceptable."

Football agent Mino Raiola condemned the abuse on his official twitter account, labelling the hecklers as "weak, ignorant racists."

In shock about today's Milan/PSG in Universal Cup parents booing colour 10 year olds. Heads up boys we'r stronger then weak ignorant racists

— Mino Raiola (@MinoRaiola) April 5, 2015

The tournament's organisers, who have not responded to Goal's request for comment, posted an anti-racism video featuring Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on their Facebook page on Monday morning.

It is not yet clear if action has been taken against the alleged racists and whether the police have been informed about the incident.

I hope no one is taking the title as a swipe against Chelsea because I don't mean it that way... it's more like it's ironic (? that even the right word in this context) that a maybe-PSG fan got racially abused earlier this year, and then more-likely-than-not PSG fans go and racially abuse kids.

kids.

what a year it's been. #saynotoracism indeed, UEFA >___> ugh

Some articles in German, the gist, from the post on the Bayern subreddit

Fiancee says Jerome has been violent multiple times between 01.05.2014 & 05.02.2015. Also says that he has bitten her during an argument in december. In 8 years on/off relationship, he supposedly cheated on her at least 20 times, but she "always had hope, because he can be loving as well."

OT but How does Cristoph Kramer have a tag and this guy doesn't?

today's date makes me question many things but this is not exactly joking material o_O

Chelsea football fans prevent a black man from boarding a Paris metro train shortly before the Champions League fixture between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. The unidentified passenger attempts to squeeze on to the train, only to be pushed forcefully back on to the platform at the Richelieu-Drouot station. The fans then chant: 'We're racist, we're racist and that's the way we like it'

Ugh, real talk? The actual reason why no one fucking likes Chelsea.

Fuck that noise. (Also fuck you LJ. Didn't you use to work better?)

Marco Reus fined 540,000 euros for driving without a license for 3 years

source : bild article sadly behind paywall but posted in a tumblr post

e: apparently he also received five speeding tickets during that time, but no-one ever noticed he didn't have a license o_O

e2: someone from reddit translated a quote from the man himself:

He took driving lessons when he was 18 but never took a driving test. He just decided to drive without a licence. "Sadly I decided to take this route. I can't even comprehend the reasons myself. Now I know: I was too naive and it was stupid. I have learnt my lesson. It will never happen again."

e3: can't believe it took me so long to remember his nickname is Rolls Reus.

yeah. i am disappoint :/

No seriously. LOL.

And I thought shit like this only happened to Arsenal c. 2011-12

I guess he read the piece in Metro that his club won't sell him even though they sold everyone else.

We need a Southampton tag, mods. I realize the club might be gone in a few days and Koeman has no players left and is making blackly humorous jokes on Twitter and all....

But it's all so ~DRAMATIC at the moment!

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Nigeria is not backing down after sacking its entire national football federation leadership, ignoring a FIFA directive and moving closer to a ban from internationals for the reigning African champion. A weekend meeting of football and government officials in the capital Abuja endorsed the earlier sacking of Nigeria Football Federation President Aminu Maigari and his executive committee for not solving a player payment dispute during the World Cup. Officials said in a statement Sunday they were planning new elections.

World body FIFA, which doesn't allow governments to interfere in football affairs, said it would not recognize Saturday's meeting and has given Nigeria until Tuesday to reinstate Maigari or face sanctions. That would likely involve banning the country's national team and clubs from playing in continental or international tournaments, and could leave players like Chelsea's John Obi Mikel and Liverpool's Victor Moses frozen out of next year's African Cup in Morocco, where Nigeria is due to defend its title.

Maigari was also arrested on his return from the World Cup in Brazil and delegates at the emergency meeting said they blamed him for embarrassing Nigeria at the tournament by not resolving the bonus dispute.

Nigeria reached the second round for the first time since 1998 but had its campaign marred by the payment dispute, where players rebelled against the federation after not receiving their money for making the last 16 of the showcase. However, the continent's reputation was also badly damaged as Nigeria, Cameroon and Ghana all had their tournaments undermined by disputes between players and officials over money.
